So far it is not known if the original Clayface script was as terrifying as it was intended, or if James Gunn made changes to lower its intensity and bring it closer to his universe. In fact, this film is explicit at times and in others it show murders off camera. 7🧵

Regardless, I don’t see the point of Clayface; it doesn’t fit anywhere in the DCU, and as body horror, it's pretty flabby. Tom Rhys is a good casting choice, and with better planning the movie would have been interesting perhaps. But at Warner planning is not his thing. 8🧵
