$IONQ Excited to share tomorrow’s Quantum Technology Integration Series report with the IonQ community: “The Full Platform: Mapping IonQ’s Business Ecosystems Ahead of Investor Day.” With Q2 behind us, the SkyWater close finalized, and the September 8 Investor Day on the calendar, this felt like the right moment to step back and map IonQ’s full footprint rather than just react to the last earnings call. The purpose is simple: show where the fuller picture on each part of IonQ’s business already exists in the public record, so a topic going unmentioned on one call never gets mistaken for a topic going quiet. With this close, IonQ becomes the only vertically integrated, full-stack quantum platform company in the world: compute, networking, sensing, security, and now trusted, domestic manufacturing, all under one roof, spanning sixteen countries and every major U.S. alliance structure at once. This isn't a story confined to one country or one government relationship — it now includes a genuine space-based dimension, with Skyloom's Space Force-qualified optical terminals and Capella Space's six-year NRO relationship sitting behind the same DMEA-accredited foundry that underwrites everything IonQ builds. $IonQ A BIG DEAL … Now that SkyWater officially closes as an IonQ subsidiary tomorrow, I think the door opens immediately for a US government equity investment under the CHIPS Act — and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it move fast. SkyWater already has an active CHIPS Act relationship (a $16M award tied to its Minnesota facility) and DMEA Category 1A Trusted Foundry status, which is exactly the profile the administration has shown a preference for converting into direct equity stakes rather than pure grants, as it did with Intel. Layer IonQ’s own quantum-computing national-security relevance on top of SkyWater’s existing foundry position, and this becomes one of the cleanest cases yet for that same equity-conversion playbook. Having the US government as an equity holder is genuinely valuable here, not just symbolic. It aligns Washington’s own financial interest with the success of a trusted domestic quantum-and-chip supply chain, which makes future funding, procurement preference, and regulatory goodwill far more durable than a one-time grant ever could. It’s also a signal to every other government and ally IonQ works with — Italy, Romania, South Korea — that the platform now carries the backing of a direct American ownership stake, not just a customer relationship.
