Local businesses have an incredible impact on a community. They create jobs, provide the services we count on every day, and are often the first to support a local cause.
I want to help Ward 9’s local businesses thrive, so I spent some time asking owners: How can we support you? These are challenging times, especially with trade uncertainty and tariffs.
As a small business owner myself for many years, and a member of the Meadowvale Business Association, I understand those pressures. I have many ideas and innovative strategies to help elevate local business. As Ward 9 Councillor, I’ll explore every option possible to support them.

The City of Mississauga says volunteer rink-keepers are being sought to help maintain the outdoor recreation spots. Those interested must apply by Nov. 15.
Volunteers for the city’s Natural Ice Rinks Program must be 14 years of age or older and comfortable working outdoors in cold temperatures, likely in the late evening any day of the week, after darkness.
