Our team has recently been interviewed to give some insights into the new Gladiator II film trailer! It is not all doom and gloom and it is fair to say @DrJEBall @BelovedOfOizys and @reeshistory are very excited to see it come out later this year: iflscience.com/the-gladiator…

Gave a talk with students about my writing career and decided to show them the kind of feedback and edits I receive. I thought it only fair, as they get my feedback on their work, to show them that they're not alone.
When they saw large passages deleted, there was audible shock!
This week's 'external' speaker was our very own @reeshistory who came in his guise as a writer to talk to students about productivity, creativity and breaking into the creative industries. He also showed egs. of the kind of edits and feedback he gets from his editors.

I think @Joe_Cortright does a good job in this @CityObs piece explaining how "much of what is labeled pedestrian infrastructure is in reality car infrastructure" but sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words.

...not to just say; this is a one off year where nothing’s going to be normal, runnwith it. Anyone who can be in lifelong education, rather than a likely horrendous job market, should be even if it’s short courses
