Minimal data re #COVID19 #SARSCoV2 longevity on natural surfaces. Data on other coronaviruses like #SARSCoV1 = 4 days on wood. Sunlight likely reduces, but data suggests virus may live on shelter picnic tables & understory for 4 days. #medtwitter #WEMS20 journalofhospitalinfection.c…

Where it rains, it can flood. Flooding is dangerous whether you are in your home, driving or on foot. With more rain in the forecast, be aware of your risk for flooding and know what to do if water starts to rise in your area. #ncwx

After years of letting this bother me I really don’t anymore. We are, perhaps, the most successful “brand” in healthcare (no other specialty gets its own road sign). We have to be secure in what we do. Call me what you like, I’m still the one you’ll turn to in an emergency.
Another speaker at #AGMConfUK referring to the Emergency Department as “Casualty” in a slightly disparaging way 😢 these are our -ologist colleagues. Leaves me wondering if they give same impression to patients. C’mon guys. We’re all playing for the same team: our patients!

PROFILE TRAIL at Grandfather Mountain State Park CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE due to heavy rain and flooded stream crossings. Help us prevent erosion damage by staying off the trail. The rest of the park remains open. Flash floods are possible; stream crossings likely impassable.
