Star Trek TNG is awesome because there are so many episodes that are full of nonsense and Patrick Stewart will be there delivering one of the greatest performances to ever grace tv with a monologue that will make you question your existence

non-trekkie oomfs watch an episode of tng for me today 💔 some of my favorite picard episodes:
- 2x9 measure of a man
- 3x15 yesterdays enterprise
- 3x26/4x1 the best of both worlds
- 4x2 family
- 4x21 the drumhead
- 5x25 the inner light
- 6x10/11 chain of command
- 6x15 tapestry
Some of my earliest memories were coming home on Sundays and seeing my dad watching TNG in the living room. I was always captivated by Picard and the strength and wisdom he exemplified. Rest in Peace to Patrick Stewart
One of my earliest memories of TV that wasn’t like, Sesame Street was a clear British voice intoning against a moving starscape. He was a veteran theatrical actor of countless roles but for over two hundred episodes of television and four feature films, he was my captain. RIP.

Patrick Stewart was already one of the great screen actors by the time Jean-Luc Picard and Charles Xavier made him immortal. He brought grandeur and dignity to ambitious schemers and faithful retainers alike, transforming every set into a proscenium. Colossal.

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

Patrick Stewart's entire body of work, but as Picard in particular, is something that connects the person I am today with who I was as a kid. It collapses time for me. I still have the same awe and fascination with his performance and belief that it represents the best of us.
Picard is one of the most important characters in the world to me this is really rough
