Sometimes, I hear people wonder whether anyone uses libraries anymore. Here’s the @sun_library at 9:45 a.m. Full parking lot. Overflowing storytime. Folks browsing, meeting and connecting.

Just a few picks from my shelf that I book-talked after sharing DIRT AND BUGSY with young kiddos last week on #WRAD.
Sent them off to read, write, connect, and explore. 🐝📚💚

Chalk + Ink #podcast mini #summer MFA Day 21 @AprilEdit What do you tell your #Students? Tell a #story only you can tell. What is the "so what" of your story? What do you want me to feel? What's the take away? So much heart in this episode. #teachertwitter #teacherstudent

Reading aloud — it’s pretty amazing for kids (and grownups, too)! Whatever you’re doing this summer, make sure to spend some time reading aloud to the children in your life.

Mr. Kilian’s class had a virtual author visit with April Jones Prince @AprilEdit ! Author of two “Who Was” books! She shared her love of non-fiction and writing with us. Students got to ask and answer questions. We even found out she is rooting for the @Eagles too! #WRAD

🧵Ok, #kidlit community...we need you! I help run the Central PA Chapter of @KSLAliteracy. We partnered with the YMCA to give books to our neediest local children this holiday. We sent forms home and significantly underestimated how many would be returned. amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/31…
