In plain English: Elon Musk is enabling our enemies while we bail him out.

In the exact same week SpaceX throttled military Starshield links in Ukraine and pinned ICEYE-X36 for a Russian space weapon, Pete Hegseth and Pentagon CTO Emil Michael were busy rescuing Musk's balance sheet (and likely setting up nice kickbacks for a down-the-road return for themselves):
1. SpaceX absorbed xAI and burned $19.5B in Q3 against $14.58B in revenue.
2. Publicly traded Tesla dumped $2B-$3B of shareholder cash into private SpaceX/xAI stock to plug the hole.
3. Hegseth and Emil Michael (who cashed out $5M-$25M in xAI stock tax-deferred while keeping 5 personal LLC wrappers open with surviving options/profit interests) wired $8.8B+ in "Contractor-Owned" DoD deals where U.S. taxpayers pay for the satellites, but Musk (~79% voting control) keeps 100% ownership of the assets AND the physical kill-switches.
4. Now Tesla and SpaceX have formed Merger Special Committees to roll those taxpayer-funded assets together to prop up Musk's 207.5M pledged TSLA shares and $5.96B China loan.
Think about how screwed we are in this setup: we pay for the satellites, we fund the bailout, and Musk keeps the kill-switch over our military entering Iran Round Two. When does it end?
