Simple - it takes a long time to investigate these complex conspiracy cases and the feds are known for very thorough investigations. It’s not political - it is procedural and bureaucratic. Ask any lawyer and they’ll tell you this.
Sorry Alan but “the core of the indictment” is not that Trump lied. The indictment says, up front that Trump has the 1st Amendment right to lie. He can’t use those lies to then commit a crime. The actions using the lies is the core of the indictment.
