This life.
It seems quite a bit to be one long struggled mess, with assembled hordes of frustrations, setbacks, and misery teaming up to either clothesline us when we are picking up steam, or absent that to trip us when we are not looking.
And yet.
There is beauty. There is laughter. There are family, friends and many good times. There is grace, mercy, and love. Especially when we are most undeserving and hence, most needy.
There is peace when by all rights it should not exist. There is the unexpected and dumfounding incomprehension of people surprising us with acts of kindness and decency when we put all bets on the opposite.
Of course evil still runs rampant, we know this. Headlines and breaking news with the latest installments are regular features of our day.
But we can find peace and contentment in two certainties:
1. This world is only a way station; it is passing away as well as its seedy residue
2. Eternity is our true home; Jesus Crossed out our sins when we trust only Him. He takes us Home.

Notice that bold line between Virginia and North Carolina?
Today, North Carolina has the cheapest gas in the country at $3.48/gallon
In Virginia, it’s $4.04/gallon.
Entirely because of the gas tax, which Democrats refuse to suspend.
Is the Iran war a problem? Yes. But you know what’s an even bigger problem? Virginia Democrats refusing to deliver any relief.
We are all broken because of sin, but as one of my former pastors would often say, God made no junk.
Each person, soul-mind-heart, is a reflection of the Divine image of Almighty God.
Of inestimable value, and unique in the universe.
Due dignity, respect, and honor.
Regardless of pigmentation, all of which are equal and also in the Divine image.
Regardless of social status, financial position, nation of origin, biological gender.
Regardless of health, ability or disability, mental state.
There's only one human race, 100% sinners, but 100% loved and valued by God. The Cross refutes any argument to the contrary. ✝️❤️
