The ARDAA Forum is inviting you to a deliberative session to assess Somalia's national security strategies and plans in the context of recent accomplishments, such as the lifting of the arms embargo, the significant transfer of security responsibility of the presidential compound to the SNA forces, and the unveiling of the new Security Sector Development Plan at a summit that brought together Somalia and its major international partners in New York on 12 December, 2023. We appreciate the National Security Advisor to the President of Somalia, Mr. @XuseenMacallin, who will be our keynote speaker at the event, sharing his valuable time and insights to update the public on the nation's security preparations. While the prolonged endeavor to rid Somalia of the long-standing status of a heavily-indebted country is fast-approaching the point of fruition, the federal government is now pushing ahead with other future-oriented plans for cross-border cooperations involving multiple areas; such as trade & economics. As we communicated yesterday, @ArdaaForum is hosting a string of space programmes on the achievements and shortcomings of PM @HamzaAbdiBarre’s one-year-old cabinet. The first session of our programme will be held tonight at 10pm (EAT) with a focus on one of the three key priorities for the government which is the fight against ALSHABAB & the efforts to stabilize the liberated areas as well as tightening the overall security of the country. We’re very grateful to the PM’s Security Advisor @KamalGutale for joining us in this session offering the chance to talk the audience through the latest information regarding the topic at hand. This will be a great opportunity for everyone of us to attend the session, learn from it and raise any question you may have for clarification.

It’s been a year since the formation of the current Somali council of ministers known as "Danqaran" under the premiership of @HamzaAbdiBarre. As enshrined in its political programme, the government’s key priorities include: (1). The liberation & stabilization of the country, (2). The finalization of the protracted constitutional review process, and (3). The successful completion of the long-standing debt-relief process. In this light, the @ArdaaForum intends to host a series of space programmes over the next few days with the goal of assessing and evaluating how far the government has come in all its priority areas. These sessions will bring on board a number of important and relevant government officials to discuss the advancements made thus far as well as the shortcomings that call for realigning the plans for better results in the near future.
