@Apple really thinks they’re about to drop a “groundbreaking” innovation with their “no-record” privacy camera.
Spoiler: this tech isn’t new. Not even close.
Institute of Artificial Intelligence of China Telecom (TeleAI) @TeleAI_AIFlow launched the TeleAI Privacy Camera all the way back in February.. Footage is instantly processed into privacy-preserving tokens, and all identifiable details are filtered out before any data leaves the camera. The cloud only receives those tokens, then detects risky behaviors from them..
it sees what’s happening, but never pries into who’s there.
Meanwhile @Apple is still developing the exact same idea… and it’s not arriving until 2027. TeleAI’s solution is already baked into its TeleCare Smart-care Assistant and running in real deployments.
