A Filmfare South winner, multiple SIIMA award recipient, Tamil Nadu State Film Award winner, Forbes 30 Under 30 honouree - that's Sai Pallavi, what a stellar actor! Yet, Indian men will try to diminish her with random grainy shots from Ramayana because she doesn’t fit their narrow, patriarchal standards of beauty. If they had their way, they'd rather cast Nora Fatehi as Sita!
Ravana , give me one good reason why you kidnapped her ? #Ramayana

No Motherly Vibe Right? Picking up the shots without knowing the context and spreading a narrative! Good frames abhi to share karo aap sab. I know you will not, that way your narrative will fall apart. #SaiPallavi #Ramayana

After crying day and night about vote chori, Congress was caught red-handed casting bogus vote in the Karnataka MLC polls. Right in presence of a Congress district in-charge minister, a fake vote was cast under the district party president's wife's name. A polling officer stands suspended following BJP’s complaint. @pujaranaa reports.

We see what we want to see. Devi Sita is mother for us. In mother there is nothing called ugly. Sai is playing this strong character of the epic. Focus should be on character, her sacrifice & journey. Criticizing Sai won't create postive atmosphere at all.

Just watch the clip, how she is breathing gets faster when Ram Ji lifts the bow. Her tension releases. Just watch it bro. #Ramayana #SaiPallavi #RanbirKapoor

People are calling Sai Pallavi ugly and unsuitable to play Ma Sita in the Ramayana. At an event, Sai Pallavi said she felt blessed to play Ma Sita. She meditated and prayed, “Seeta ma, you act through me,” while trying to keep her thoughts pure. She said the experience taught her a lot. To me, she is as beautiful as her thoughts.

Dearest @Sai_Pallavi92 , The first time I came to know of you was in August 2025, when my best friend sent me the introduction trailer of Ramayana. I looked at your name and wondered, Who is she? I texted my friend back, “Do you know the actress playing Mata Sita? Who is she?” That question did not come from ignorance or from having absolutely no knowledge of the South Indian film industry. I come from a family that has always placed books above almost everything else. Growing up, I watched very few films, and those were mostly the ones my mother allowed me to watch. Then, during my college and hostel days, I became a movie buff. The first South Indian film I watched was Arundhati, and I immediately began admiring Anushka Shetty. I knew of Jyothika, too, and loved their work. But then life happened. Something changed, and everything else took a backseat. I stopped researching films. I stopped listening to music, too. Books remained the one constant in my life. Eventually, I returned to watching films, mostly to escape burnout for a little while. And whenever I came across a film that deserved to be appreciated, I tried to support it. Then I saw your name in the Ramayana introduction trailer. Then, out of curiosity, I searched your name during Durga Puja and watched Padi Padi Leche Manasu. You felt fresh, familiar, like a girl next door. You made me  smile and cry. One film led to another. Shyam Singha Roy made me admire your dancing abilities too.  Gargi showed me how much you could express through your eyes. Love Story revealed your ability to portray vulnerability, while Premam made me appreciate your simplicity. Through Amaran, I witnessed another beautiful shade of your craft. I particularly loved your chemistry with Naga Chaitanya. It felt so natural. But somewhere along this journey, I began admiring you for more than your acting, dancing, or simplicity. I began admiring your choices. In an industry where everyone seems to aspire to be larger than life, you have often brought us characters who feel real, familiar, and close to our hearts. And now, you are set to portray Maa Sita, a character whose presence transcends generations. From not knowing who you were to becoming your admirer, I have come a long way. Your films helped me rediscover my love for good cinema and encouraged me to explore Tamil and Telugu films beyond the ones I already knew. Sometimes, art does more than entertain us. It helps us find our way back to parts of ourselves we thought we had lost. Having said all this, I know you may never read this post. I am writing it anyway, hoping that there are others who admire you for similar reasons and might find a little piece of themselves in my words. I wrote these thoughts a month ago, sitting in a quiet office in West Bengal, but never found the courage to share them. Now, with just ten days to go before Ramayana arrives, and with audiences across the world waiting to see you portray Maa Sita, I feel that perhaps this is the right time to be a little braver and put these words out there. I will not call myself your fan. I would rather call myself an admirer. Because admiration, to me, is not blind support. It is appreciating someone's work, standing by them when they deserve support, and having the honesty to offer constructive criticism when something feels wrong. A true admirer appreciates without placing someone on a pedestal. There is room for both affection and honesty. Regards, An Admirer.
