During my compulsory military service in the early 1980s, the communist secret police tried to recruit me as an informant. I refused. What followed was years of surveillance. The communist regime targeted me, my wife and my fellow opposition activists with covert investigations. They deployed informants, monitored our movements and bugged our workplaces and homes. The documents speak for themselves. This was how the communists dealt with those who dared to stand up against them. Decades later, the neo-communists are resorting to the same old methods. Different faces. Same playbook.
