Be proud of what you do
You role is important
You keep the NHS going
Without you it would break
Your views & ideas matter
No role is better than another
You are all critical
No clinical & non-clinical divide

Love this - Ascent set up as we thought there wasn’t enough focus on prevention. Many employers support staff who become ill but don’t focus on #stressprevention and #riskmanagement approaches or creating a #positiveculture
This is why proper risk assessments are required on workloads and sufficient funding from @NHSEngland for safe staffing. #supportmidwives #iso45003 #healthandsafety #wellbeingatwork #workdemands #burnout #stressprevention
‘Staff are desperate to plug the gaps, but are at the limits of their endurance’ says @MidwivesRCM @RcmSuz as RCM survey shows midwives across England work around 100,000 extra unpaid hours a week to keep maternity services safe, read more at bit.ly/3NvUu7m

Here is a quick Friday coaching tip:
This is much too easy not to try next week.
Your job isn't to fix your employee's problems.
Your job is to help your employees fix their problems.
Let me explain...
Next time someone comes to you with a problem.
Don't just give them an answer.
Because when you do, you’re just reinforcing a sense of dependency.
Motivate their thinking with questions like this:
- What have you tried so far?
- What else could you try instead?
- What other options do you have?
The more thought provoking the question, the better.
Have a good weekend.
And keep coaching.
When someone has a different view from you do you immediately switch off and wait until you can reply with a counter argument or listen and aim to understand in a curious way? #growthmindset #listenwithcuriosity
