Reappearing from my inadvertent 3 month Twitter break to say bring back MSN messenger.

Nobody should die in poverty, yet 10 people every hour do in the UK.
I’ve cared for patients where they/their family can’t afford to put the heating on.
I’ve seen patients who ration the use of ventilators bc they’re worried about how much it will add to the electricity bill.
We asked our frontline staff how the #CostOfLiving is affecting terminally ill patients. The results are shocking.
🚨 94% have cared for people struggling financially
🚨 78% say it’s impacting patients’ mental health
🚨 23% say it's hastened deterioration of patients' conditions
We need to do better by these people, and we need to make change happen.
Given how costs are rising for everyone I can only see this getting worse in the near future for those who I have the privilege of helping to care for.
Teaching the medical students on placement today and they asked me when I did my 4th year exams.
