Not directly. The survey asked which sectors managers favoured over the next 12 months, but it did not ask which they would add to first.
Banks were the leading favourite, followed by retailers and software. Retailers recorded the biggest improvement in sentiment. Separately, the positioning data showed managers were net overweight banks by 12%, software by 10% and metals and mining by 15%.
To be globally competitive, economies need functioning municipalities and a growing electricity supply. We need to do better, South Africa. Adoption of high-speed internet and embracing the modern economy can put us on the fast track. 🚀 @rossrandall16 @Brucekmain
