The international workshop on the 'Protection of the Environment in Armed Conflicts' will discuss the legal, historical and practical aspects of environmental protection during armed conflicts from ancient to contemporary contexts. The keynote speaker will be Ambassador Marja Lehto (former UN International Law Commission Special Rapporteur, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Finland). Prior registration with stavros.pantazopoulos[at]helsinki[dot]fi is required, as there are limited available seats.
