there are multiple moments in this movie - and that final fight in particular - where the artistry on display is so aesthetically overwhelming that i was instantly out of breath and moved to tears. an astonishing, once-in-a-lifetime achievement of filmmaking and storytelling that made me feel like i was falling in love with fantasy for the first time all over again. one of the strongest arguments i’ve ever seen against anything thinking it can replace art that humans make themselves. pure magic as a movie.

There have been so many incredible films this year, but I mean it when I say “WILDWOOD” is the MOST IMPORTANT one to see in theaters!! It’s a gorgeous dark fantasy that wouldn’t have the same effect if it were live-action. You can see the passion in every frame, I promise

Off to see Wildwood with the kiddo at Spotlight in Warsaw. Love that little ma and pa theater and I love The Decemberists, I'm so happy his book was made into a real deal stop motion movie. He deserves it. It's also getting CRAZY reviews, can't wait.

it was fuckin' exceptional @MollieTyson . The guy from decemberists wrote the book, it's possibly the best children's movie I've ever seen. they also figured out how to show the impact of violence, the camera doesn't cut away at impact but it's still a kids movie. Amazing stuff
