Another story from my bachelor life...
I had just landed a job and finally gave my little bedsitter a proper makeover. Money wasn't a problem then—I had a 32-inch Sony Bravia TV, a Sony soundbar, a four-gas cooker, and crisp white bed sheets that made the place feel like a mini apartment. I was enjoying the fruits of my hard work.
One evening, a lady friend came over around 9 p.m., saying she just wanted to see where I lived. We talked, laughed, watched TV, and before we knew it... it was midnight.
Now remember, I was living in Kayole. At that hour, taking her home would have meant risking a trip to Sayuni and back in the middle of the night.
So we agreed she'd spend the night. She took the couch, and I slept on my king-size bed.
Nothing happened between us. She was simply a friend, and we respected each other's boundaries. Looking back, I sometimes wonder how many principled single men would have made the same choice—but for me, self-control and respect mattered more than the moment.
To be continued... 👀

In as much as I have consistently called out Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro for his lack of clear decision making and silence during critical moments, I must admit that the guy is very well loved by his constituents. He utilised his time as chair of Budget committee very well to the advantage of his people. His performance and leadership in his constituency is immense and admirable. He is a darling if his people and a symbol of hope not knly to students but also the public. His use of CDF is precise and with utmost priority. He is the only MP in Mt Kenya whom am sure will win without DCP. But on the contrary, his conduct during critical moments has punctured public trust and injured his national take. I hope he recovers because I do like the guy as a person. He is a symbol of good leadership enduring with the poor and never despise.
