The last part came out as a whisper as she clenched her fists, a tear rolling down her cheek as she moved a hand to cover her mouth. “I need your help..”

She ended the call, slamming the phone down on the table as she ran back up to the stairs to Xena’s room, opening the door without bothering to ask if she was awake as she knew she would be with hearing her. “I need to talk to you.”

“Oh it’s Alex today, someone is grumpy. You just might want to be careful with saying that, one or two might consider it an order.” Alex raised an eyebrow while continuing to sip her wine.

Opportunity’s not passed then? Then I shall do so.
