Tatum on his relationship with Jaylen:
“The expectations were so high, they had to figure out a reason why we hadn’t won yet. So they tried to pin us against each other.”
“The truth is we had 9 amazing years together… I’ll forever be grateful for the time we spent together.”
This made me smile.
Big fan of the small-world concept and degrees of separation.
Cooper Vest playing baseball and Jesse Cook calling baseball, two things that make all the sense in the world ❤️
Normally, we save our @longbeachcoast interviews for our Beach Ball Pre-Game Report, but for @Austin_Barach's sake and the @ABLMiners, I had to share a piece of my interview with fellow 2023 Mat-Su Miner Cooper Vest!
“The highest level of basketball you can find” and Tirico is 100% right.
San Antonio-OKC was supposed to be, has been so far, and will continue to be for this series, some of the best basketball ever.
And the Knicks would push San Antonio to at least 6 games and maybe win.

Brad Stevens: "I thought we really struggled to generate good looks against Philly. I thought they deserved to win."
Stevens said he would have signed up for most of what happened this season. However...
"We were also 3-11 against the top-three seeds in the West and the other top-two in the East. So we have to get better."

Annual March Madness spreadsheet, a thread.
First, general thoughts:
- Sports games are obviously not determined on a spreadsheet, as it should be. You got to play the game.
- The NCAAB tournament inherently engineers randomness (pardon the jargon there).
So I made five (5) tweaks to this year’s spreadsheet.
You could say that if I needed to make that many tweaks, last year’s process sucked. Maybe it did.
At least the critical thinking evolved this year.

This guy will dog walk you in literally anything then turn around and say something like, “golly I’m just happy to be competing with my guys”
Drake Maye’s focus was always football.
But then he’d show up in basketball season and dominate on the hard wood.
Here are the stories from Drake Maye’s basketball career: nytimes.com/athletic/6966097…
