This Halloween I review a movie that many know of but few remember the name of: Idle Hands from 1999.

"no one goes out to eat anymore"
Dawg, the biggest problem in the US right now is that people keep paying for delivery because of how easy it is to put it on a credit card.
I will never understand this weird idea that Japan is super good because it has less money.
Whenever I point out how cheap something is in Japan compared to America everyone goes βyeah but their wages are much lower!β
Sure, but in Japan everyone can afford to go out to eat every night because itβs so cheap, people go out drinking multiple nights a week because itβs so cheap, airport beers are the equivalent of $1.50 and they consider that a scam.
Meanwhile in America no one goes out to eat anymore, no one goes out to bars anymore, and an airport beer is equivalent to minimum wage (plus tip!)
Sure we have more buying power *IF* we leave America, but comparing cost of living and wages in America vs Japan if you only spend inside your own country? Japan has us so beat itβs not even funny.
Oh my God he's so stupid.
This is going to be another moment like when DSP had his bank hacked because everything was tied to the same password.

You blocked me but ill tag your ass, @darlingstrawbie ,for unlike you,i say it with my chest.
Its only annoying because Christianity's long term standards are being firmly applied to YOU, exposing how you are nothing more than a Grifter.
A proper christian would say you should repent. I aint christian. Im saying you are so much a fraud insofar as being christian as the bulk are dropping you faster than the smaller, weaker person you chose to attack & expose yourself on.
You need to seriously rethink your life choices, Strawb, cause right now the role model you are setting for your child is pretty damned sad.
Women tries to get men to understand what it's like to not want sex and fails miserably.
Listen, I'm not a very horny honey, but put the wife next to me and we'd fuck while waiting in line at the DMV if it wasn't taboo.
Ok lads: imagine you arenβt horny at all. Not even slightly. Youβre busy fixing a shelf or ironing your suit or watching your favourite TV show. Zero sexy feelings. Your girlfriend sighs loudly and goes βcan we have sex nowβ in whingy voice and then grabs your ass. She then sulks and starts whining when you arenβt instantly aroused and into it and starts saying you havenβt had sex for 3 days.
Annoying? Not very sexy?
GOOD YOU UNDERSTAND WHY PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE INSTA-HORNY BEHAVIOUR IS ANNOYING
An exclusive focus on the subject matter: yes, writers trying to sell to other writers is what keeps authors down and even self sabotage.
Many get trapped in book swaps and don't realize they give most of the money to Amazon and taxes by the end of it.
Fake validation.
I find that tiresome too, but I also understand that it causes a good amount of conflict when sensible.
The rich aspect also sucks when the person gets everything handed to them and they don't understand any of it.
Replying to @DracoWrites7
I just want people actually good with money for a change. So tiresome to read about people βdown on their luckβ instead of just fixing the problem
You know, there is a double standard I would admit happens with women, and this is one.
Not that I feel she's trying to leave the whore lifestyle, but because Jacky Chan and Sylvester Stallone have their porn careers forgotten and they're trusted around kids.
Sasha Grey left porn, starred in a Steven Soderbergh film, landed a role on HBOβs Entourage, and was trying to start a new life. Then she spent one morning reading a childrenβs book to first graders in Compton. Parents went to war, and the school district publicly denied she had ever been there. There were photos.
She grew up Catholic in Sacramento and graduated high school a year early. She says she carried a lot of guilt about her own fantasies and wanted to show other people they didnβt have to feel that shame. Right after she turned 18 she sent her photos and a written mission statement to adult agencies. Nobody answered. She was already driving home when one agent finally called back. A week later she moved to LA, rented a pool house in North Hollywood because she had no credit history, and shot her first scene.
She became one of the biggest names in the industry. In 2009 Soderbergh cast her as the lead in The Girlfriend Experience. At the end of that year, at 21, she quietly stopped shooting. No announcement. She was writing, making music, acting, and refusing to pick a side when both worlds demanded she did. She didnβt make it official for two more years.
In November 2011 she volunteered for Read Across America and spent a morning at Emerson Elementary in Compton. She read Dog Breath, a silly childrenβs book about a dog with bad breath, to first and third graders and tweeted about how sweet the kids were.
Then TMZ got the photos. Parents flooded the school with complaints. One asked why the school couldnβt find a firefighter or a police officer instead. Another said people like her shouldnβt be around children at all. The district told reporters she had never been in the building, even though the pictures were all over the internet.
She didnβt hide. She said she had a past some people disagreed with, but it didnβt define who she was. She has never said she regrets it.
Today sheβs a streamer, a DJ and a published novelist. A song she wrote about her late father ended up in Mission: Impossible β Fallout. She left porn 16 years ago. Some people will never let her.
Should a former porn star be allowed to volunteer with children, or were the parents right to be furious?
ADHD people trying to overthink a simple question in the comments is why psychology should not be handled by the nuts.
Today Blake found out the hard way that not every story needs a dedicated villain.
The bear was symbolic, the plot revolved around the curse, and this is normal in the fairy tales it was based around.
These super long term writers are always clueless about storytelling.
I recall a friend taking her kids to see Brave when it came out. I asked her what she thought of it and she said (paraphrasing) "the movie was good, they just forgot to put a villain in it!" I'm always reminded of that when I see clips like this one shared around.
The witch doesn't really fit as the villainβshe gives Merida the proverbial rope to hang herself with, but that's about it. Maybe it's the mother, but she's got Merida's best interests at heart and knows better, besides. Or maybe Merida's both the protagonist and the villain, that'd be a twist, but I think she spends too much of the movie trying to make up for her mistake for that to apply, either.
Brave feels like a film that needed more time to cook. As-is, it's fine, you can watch and enjoy parts of it...but you can also eat boiled steak if you're hungry enough.
No title yet, but one thing has been decided for my magic school story: a Nazi aesthetic will have my Malfoid go from peak to perfect.
This is what bugs me about fake Christians like Strawb and her simps.
They do something wrong: forgive and forget.
Anyone else hurts their feelings: demonize and dox.
