“Resistance fighters” that mow down unarmed ravers at a concert. That enter towns slaughtering innocent families. That intentionally burnt down houses with babies inside. That kidnapped grandmothers and infants.
Yes, keep thinking you’re in the moral right on this one.

Yes but was it proportionate to choke the death cult jihadist?

I thoroughly enjoyed @sinakahen's The Battle for the Jewish Mind, a serious, forceful argument for reclaiming Torah-based engagement with science and reason. I hope it spurs my generation to move closer to becoming the "wise and understanding people" we are destined to be.

I am truly honored to have been part of this historic gathering.
For two days in NYC, 150 rabbis and community leaders from around the world came together at the UJA @UJAfedNY for the second Sephardic Rabbinic Conference @SephardiRabbis.
Under this year’s theme, The Art of Leadership, we explored how to cultivate an authentic and balanced Sephardic voice of leadership. A voice marked by integrity, responsiveness, creativity, responsibility, and adaptability; attentive to the changing world around us, deeply rooted in Torah, and unwavering in its commitment to the Jewish people.
The first day concluded with a beautiful evening of music at the historic Shearith Israel synagogue.
I am deeply grateful to every delegate, especially those who traveled from around the world, who made the effort to participate, to the organizations that supported and believed in this gathering, and to all the volunteers who helped make it possible.
And a special thank you to my dear friends and fellow organizers, Avi Garson @AviGarson and Ethan Marcus, for their tremendous work, vision, and dedication that brought it all together.
This British government oozes weakness.
This moment that demands moral clarity and siding with good versus evil.
Instead we are getting hesitation, appeasement and trembling knees.
In moments like this you need Churchill, not Chamberlain.

This is a clear desecration of G-d’s name and at a time when our IDF soldiers are engaged in the utmost holy work, risking their lives day and night to defend our country and protect every citizen of Israel, turning against them in anger or violence is not only morally wrong, it undermines the very values of Torah and Jewish unity.
Two female IDF soldiers are chased by a mob of Haredi men in Bnei Brak before they are extracted by police.
The servcieowmen serve with the Education Corps, and were in the ultra-Orthodox city as part of a home visit to one of their soldiers. They are not with the Military Police, contrary to some claims.
Footage circulating on social media shows the two women running as they are escorted by police, as a large crowd of men chases after them.
Trash cans are knocked over as the rioting group follows the women through the street in the Haredi-majority city. The crowd also overturned a police car.
Police say in statement that the situation is now under control after the two soldiers were extracted from the area.
The IDF has not yet commented.
There’s a deafening silence from the self-styled “human rights” brigade.
You know why?
Because it’s all façade. They never cared about “the oppressed”. They just despise the West, America, and Israel.
The villains don’t fit the script so they look away.

Same self-styled “human rights” activists who show up to every pro-Palestine rally. They don’t care about freedom or suffering. They hate America, despise the West, romanticize communism & cheer on dictators.

Over Shabbos I read this fabulous book on the Chacham Zevi. I enjoyed every page, but was especially struck by his stance in the generation after the Shabbatai Zevi crisis. Long after the shock had passed, its echoes still lingered and not everyone was prepared to name them. 1/5
