Fledgling 'Cities': Lira City's total Rd network is 428km. Earth roads are 270km[63%],60km gravelled roads& 24km paved bituminous standard roads. Subsistence agriculture-dependent communities are larger than the urbanized area. With its 246,000 population, poverty isn't abstract.

Who's the Appointing Authority who promoted him to the rank of Lt. General& Deputy CDF?.
The army we knew was about discipline and fitness, and Elweru had none. Does this fitness meet UPDF standards??

Investors want political and economic stability. Current endorsement might show a vote of no confidence politically which isn't good.
Five months after the election, ministers are already endorsing another presidential aspirant. Could these political games undermine confidence in the sitting president, scare away investors, and undo 40 years of progress? #TheCapitalGang #CapitalFM

Compelling, clear, and credible; this is how development comms should be like!. Your persistent efforts is appreciated by all the Ugandans. @OdrekRwabwogo We prefer a positive& propositional approach; not these, "we're gonna kill this ....,or hang an innocent citizen".
When a farmer raises an animal to 400 kg over 18 months and brings it to the abattoir, most of us assume the business is meat. It is more than that. That single slaughterhouse holds nine factories: bone meal, leather, tallow, horns and hooves, manure, biogas, pharmaceutical ingredients, blood meal, and only then the meat. About 150 kg of the animal is what we sell. The rest is value we abandon. The cost of abandoning it shows up in our import bill. We bring in close to a million kilograms of leather goods, 3.7 million kilograms of soap and candles from Kenya, and more than 300,000 tonnes of fertiliser every year. Much of this could come from animals we already slaughter. The jobs case is just as clear. Five jobs on each of the eight by-product lines gives 40 jobs per animal. An abattoir handling 150 animals a day carries 6,000 jobs. This thinking is the foundation of how we at PACEID (@paceidug) approach value addition across the 13 sectors we work on. Each sector is a value chain to be built at home, so that Uganda exports higher-value products rather than raw commodities. None of it happens in pieces, though. It takes ecosystem thinking: a large enough herd, land, energy, standards, skills and aggregation centres, planned together, with farmers connected to markets, finance and government. Argentina once fed Europe with its beef and missed the window to build the value chain. Our task is to make sure Uganda does not miss its own. Next week: We look at fish value chain. #ValueAddition #Exports #Uganda #Agribusiness #IndustrialDevelopment #PACEID

Faith and business are not opposites. In this address to the Richfaith Finance Seminar I explain how an entrepreneur combines what God put inside him with the season outside him, why our milk plant gave its margin back to farmers, and why I worry less about artificial intelligence and more about authentic intelligence. Attention is a currency.

The best fortress is to be found in the love of the wananchi. Even if you build fortresses, they won't help when the wananchi hate you. Hosni Mubarak had all the guns[surplus to requirements],but the guns didn't save him from the hatred of the masses in Cairo.
Ofwono Opondo dares those who think the gun can rule, to go downtown with the guns. Without mentioning names, Ofwono asked them to respond to Ugandans queries through discourse.

.@OfwonoOpondo: Whoever wants to replace President Museveni must do more than he has done in terms of tolerance and verbal engagement, rather than using crude power. #TheCapitalGang #NBSUpdates

Ndugu, you're a Monetary Economist as well. Jjambo Sir!.
🚨 Our $6.6bn foreign exchange reserve (3 months import bill) is maintained as a macroeconomic buffer for critical national obligations and external shocks rather than a long-term rescue of shillings. It would be a temporary relief for few months and not worth the risks.

Satan, on the contrary, is thin, ascetic and a fanatical devotee of logic. He reads Machiavelli, Ignatius of Loyola, Marx and Hegel; he is cold and unmerciful to mankind, out of a kind of mathematical mercifulness. He is damned always to do that which is most repugnant to him:

to become a slaughterer, in order to abolish slaughtering, to sacrifice lambs so that no more lambs may be slaughtered, to whip people with knouts so that they may learn not to let themselves be whipped, to strip himself of every scruple in the name of a higher scrupulousness, ..

Since we have a dissenting population, what we need is a pragmatic dissident management approach. Dissent must be managed; not suppressed!. Otherwise, we're inducing more traitors than patriots. Is the PLU welded together by patriotism& voluntary desire?. @BalaamBarugahar

Apology by voluntary desire is the only valid one. Even "patriotism" should be by voluntary desire. True patriotism is never extracted. It rises only from voluntary desire. An apology extracted by "rhetorical coercion" wouldn't be genuine. @KilamaSadick1 @FrankGashumba

Why allow these unattractive characteristics of the Government to flourish unabated?. Why?. @GovUganda @R_Nabbanja @CHRISBARYOMUNS1 @KagutaMuseveni Why attract significant resentment, disapproval, disgruntlement and outright mass hatred, needlessly?.
That's why people are supposed to retire from work at a certain age. Why should a lady In her menopause be in a public office? Our country is in a mess
