The Arizona Cardinals should be sellers at the trade deadline. Hopefully, a new GM is in place to use the draft picks to properly rebuild this team, along with a new team president. Someone like @adrian_wilson24 is a name I hope gets considered for the role. The proof is in the pudding with teams like the Falcons that have followed this model and used consulting firms to hire FOOTBALL personnel, not nepotism with decades of failure. You could probably list a bunch of players outside of Trey McBride, Michael Wilson and PJJ, but I’ve limited my list to six players. Josh Sweat: I think he’ll be dealt. The hope is that he can secure a 2nd-round pick, but I lean more toward a 3rd unless a team gets desperate, which we’ve seen happen multiple times. Budda Baker: I think Budda ultimately gets to decide what happens. If he wants to compete for a championship, he should be traded on his terms. I’ll always cheer him on for everything he’s given this fanbase throughout his tenure. Isaac Seumalo: I think this is a low-probability move, but teams need interior help, and he’d be cheaper in terms of both draft capital and cap space than other names like Quenton Nelson. The 49ers have been mentioned, but there would need to be an in-division tax of at least a 3rd-round pick, so I’d say it’s unlikely. Jacoby Brissett, Zaven Collins and James Conner: Brissett has coaching connections around the league, as do Collins and Conner. All three could be low-cost moves for teams looking to improve their depth as they push toward the postseason. Marvin Harrison Jr. was effectively traded for a 2nd-round pick, which was surprising. I expected a 4th-round pick at best.
