AZ Chike and his team have to be some of the realest ones I’ve met in this industry. Not only did they invite me to the SOLD OUT show and have tickets for me, but his whole team was tapped in a rocked with us HEAVY. They made sure to give me and AZ time to real have a dope convo. As a rapper and reactor it’s dope to see the ppl we support acknowledge that and show it back. He even said he would’ve let me get on stage and spit which lets me know he not just tapped into the reactions but also the music which is HUGE! This just the start stay tuned! .@AzChike is done playing “Peekaboo.” 👀
Two years after stealing the show on Kendrick Lamar’s “Peekaboo,” the West Coast rapper is stepping into his next chapter with his major-label debut, ‘No Rest for The Wicked.’ The 14-track album features production and collaborations with Pharrell Williams, Sounwave, Terrace Martin, Hit-Boy and Tyler, the Creator, while giving Chike room to explore a more vulnerable side of himself.
Billboard’s Hip-Hop Up-And-Comer for September 2026 caught up with Billboard to talk about making his formal introduction to hip-hop, working with some of the West Coast’s biggest names, his Joey Bada$$ battle and what’s next: billboard.com/music/rb-hip-h…
