🤮 Italy is spending $30,000 a day to maintain the seized yacht of Russian billionaire Melnichenko, according to Forbes.
The superyacht "Sailing Yacht A" has been docked in the port of Trieste for over four years. Its upkeep costs Italian taxpayers more than $11 million annually. The money goes towards the crew, security, insurance, fuel, and maintaining the vessel in good condition.
This is not the only such yacht. More than $15 million has been spent on the crew of the "Scheherazade," which was linked to Putin, and the upkeep of the "Lady M" yacht, owned by billionaire Mordashov, cost approximately another $2 million.
The reason is a legal loophole: the yachts are frozen, but not confiscated. According to European rules, Italy is obligated to maintain their value, while the owners cannot pay for their upkeep due to sanctions.
As a result, Russian billionaires have been denied access to their yachts, while European taxpayers are footing the bill.
How about selling these yachts and sending the proceeds to @U24_gov_ua - cross that Oligarch bridge later with legislation.

The United States has lifted restrictions on the Boeing Corporation’s engagement with the Belarusian national airline, Belavia -Igor Cherginets, Director General of Belavia, as reported by the news agency BelTA.
The U.S. Department of Commerce has granted Boeing authorization to work with the Belarusian airline. "This will allow Belavia to directly obtain spare parts, components, and software for the aircraft currently in its fleet. Furthermore, it paves the way for negotiations regarding the direct acquisition of aircraft from Boeing. It is worth noting that a similar authorization had previously been issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, which provided the technical framework for direct cooperation between Belavia and Boeing. A year ago, the U.S. government issued an authorization that removed all sanctions—specifically political sanctions—against Belavia," the airline’s Director General stated.

The Ukrainian national team will be excluded from the 2027 World Hockey Championship to allow Russia to participate, according to the International Ice Hockey Federation.
In 2022, the federation approved a mechanism whereby Russia should return to the elite division in place of the team that finishes second in the first division and is promoted to the elite level.
This year, Ukraine became the first team in 20 years to achieve this. Now, the Ukrainian team will be removed, and Russia will take its place.
