You heard the 🐐 ⬇️
Had dinner with an SDSU basketball player last night through @AztecsGoingPro.
Pretty cool program connecting student athletes with alumni to talk about life after ball.
We got talking about entrepreneurship.
My leadership coach used to tell me all the time:
"Chase, you need to hire more athletes."
Looking back, I wish I'd listened more.
Athletes know how to compete. Take coaching. Lose. Get back up. Play for something bigger than themselves.
And now with NIL, these kids are getting a crash course in entrepreneurship before they even graduate.
Building personal brands. Negotiating deals. Learning how to market themselves.
I bet we see a massive wave of student athletes becoming entrepreneurs over the next 5–10yrs.
Entrepreneurship needs more dogs. REAL dogs.
Hire more athletes.
Last night, our senior student-athletes connected with 40+ professionals across a variety of industries at our Network with an Aztec event! Thank you to all of the professionals who shared their time, experience and advice with our student-athletes! ✨💯

He’s inspired future leaders through mentoring, school visits, and Aztecs Going Pro lectures, while also earning MW and campus-wide recognition.

In recognition of Xavier’s work, @MyCreditUnion1 is donating $500 to The Athlete Academy Foundation to support high school student-athletes in underserved communities. 👏
