Hi all! I think it's about time I got a pinned tweet. My name's Jacqueline, a JP→EN translator. Below are some titles I've worked on.
Be warned! Following me means you've signed up for pictures of my dog, my cat, and passing translation thoughts.
Safe to announce now...
I am translating Blue Spring in Your Eyes for Tokyopop!!
I love love love Kyoshiro.
Sowa is such a cutie too!!
Hope everyone will enjoy this book when it's out. It's so sweet and the art is so pretty!
Blue Spring in Your Eyes by Kisa Inami
"They're so blue and clear. They look like they're shimmering." He was the only person who would describe the eyes Sowa hates so much like that.
Sowa doesn't have any friends. His sharp, cold eyes attracted only delinquents to his side. He lives his days filled with fighting, tussling, and pain. But one day, the basketball club's vice-captain, Kyoshiro, approaches him. The dependable, popular, and all-smiles senpai is the direct opposite of everything Sowa is. He tries everything to avoid the glowing beam of sunlight that is Kyoshiro, but...
The caring, handsome senpai x the aloof and clumsy lone-wolf kohai.
Because of this cover I thought this was going to be generic enemies-to-lovers.
WDYM one of them yearns so hard every cell in his body might implode into dust???!!!
First Priest book I'm reading and definitely not disappointed. Loving my Guardian journey!!

Publishers basically have two options for announcing books:
1) announce early / fans have a long wait to pub date
2) keep announcements secret longer / fans have a shorter wait to pub date
Either way, the production timeline is probably about the same.
Neil was an inspiration. He so strongly believed in player experience and his localization stance has always been player-first. I looked up to Neil in so many ways...
His works have touched and changed many lives. Thank you for all you've done for the industry...
Finished Define the Relationship novel volume 1...
It's so gentle. So beautifully, agonizingly gentle. This title will always remain one of my top favourites.
The writing matches the high society modern-day British aristocracy so well! Major props to the loc team!! ❤️
Finishing the last volume of a very long ongoing action series I've been translating for many years...
And in the last few pages, they drop a bomb that one of the girls actually likes other girls!
BEAUTIFUL!! So glad to see more queer representation!

ALT New License: Melting Point. Story and art by Pibi. Two former ice hockey rivals reunite unexpectedly after a decade. Will they find common ground or will their relationship always be on thin ice? The full-color, Mature-rated Boys' Love manhwa, finally in English print! In his past, Eunsan played competitive ice hockey, going head to head with his rival and one of the best players out there, Ryu Ian. But twelve years later, Eunsan has hung up his skates and now works in sports marketing instead. Suddenly, an opportunity arises where Eunsan must reunite with Ian. Eunsan tries to keep things strictly business—until Ian presents him with an offer he truly cannot refuse. With the two men brought back together, will the fire between them reignite and erupt into something bigger? Or will old feelings lead to old wounds that can’t be healed? For Mature readers. © 2025 PIBI / LEZHIN Entertainment, Inc. Available from Seven Seas Entertainment April 2028 (Print).
