If you're tagging along for my illustration and design related tweets you might like to follow my alter ego @MBarnesDesign, where I'll be posting my work-related stuff from now on. But if you don't mind me blathering on about d20s and goblins occasionaly then stay right here.

CONAN THE BARBARIAN is my go-to Christmas movie, and some new things really stood out to me at this year's viewing.
I want to talk about THIS moment and THIS guy.
This is the story of Red Hair.
Hour and a half in and still in the outer region. Will we make it to the middle lands before the beer goes warm and the sun burns cold? #Talisman
Helping a friend clear out a loft and this box just fell open. Unclear who the owner is and whether they want the contents but I did mention the business of the fee for my assistance…
On my way back to tedious reality after a magical #Grogmeet2022. Great GMs, great players, great stories, great chats, regrettable quantities of alcohol. Thanks to everyone, hats off to @theGROGNARDfile and @sjamb7 for organising. Time for another stiff espresso methinks…

Everyone at 2000 AD is devastated to learn of the death of artist Kevin O’Neill.
Our tribute to such an inimitable talent: bit.ly/3NRRpgw
RIP Kev O'Neill. These have been etched on my brain since the late 80s. The only artist ever banned by the US Comics Code Authority for having an 'objectionable' art style. Legend.
I've just updated my graphic design and illustration portfolio. You can download it over on my website markbarnes.design (on the About page) or just check out my wares there - I'm #openforbusiness and looking for new clients and projects #graphicdesign #illustration
Lovely weekend at virtual #OBaWS - crits were rolled, acid was spilled, mysteries solved, blasters blasted and peasants pointed at. Huge thanks to all the excellent GMs and players, and @Asako_Soh and @theGROGNARDfile for organising.

This day, 27th August 1982, The Warlock of Firetop Mountain was published with an iconic cover by Peter Andrew Jones @pajartstudio and stunning interior line drawings by Russ Nicholson @RussNicholson. Happy 40th birthday Zagor. May your STAMINA never fail! @fightingfantasy
Well, this is bloomin’ rubbish. One of the reasons I became an illustrator :-( bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment…
Sadly having to withdraw from #VirtualGrogmeet due to a sudden crisis. Apologies to the GMs and players for such short notice, I've DMed those GMs I have contacts for. Thanks anyway to @theGROGNARDfile @sjamb7 for organising, hope you all have a good weekend.
My only disappointment with the Rings of Power trailer came on my second viewing, when I realised that the characters in the second scene weren’t giant crab people after all
Just landed home from #Grogmeet2021, weary and in need of a glass of wine. Thanks to all the brilliant GMs and fellow players and a hearty cheers to @theGROGNARDfile and @sjamb7 for organising it all. See y’all at the next one!
Just seen Dune and I’ve decided what I want for my birthday tomorrow: I want an ornithopter. Thanks in anticipation.
