I was once warned by a solicitor to stop crying. Apparently this particular judge was not a fan of crying! Family court is Emmotional hell on Earth and I am human. The solicitor's words actually sounded like those of an abuser, and even today they haunt me.

If as a parent you cannot put your child first, then you shouldn’t be the resident parent. If you cannot allow the child to have positive relationships with both parents and you choose to abuse them with #ParentalAlienation then you definitely shouldn’t be the resident parent!

Government responded: We do not believe that it is necessary to introduce a criminal offence against parents who alienate their child against the other parent as the court can take effective action against such behaviour. NO COMMENT

Your questions are valid. The answers may lie in who HE is, not what you did or didn't do. When your ALL is still not enough, you know you are with someone who is NOT right for you. Who HE is, is your answer. Your best would never be 'good enough' if with an abuser.
