Have any other doctors here had their identify stolen to create fake social media pages for a scam? I have had over 20 pages on Facebook using my picture, name, and institution created to sell penis pills and Meta has refused to take them down when I report them.
Months later and the scam pages are still up and active on @Meta platforms. “Patients” communicating and sending money to scammers and calling my office asking for “me.”
No legal recourse unfortunately.
To clarify: I have contacted the relevant authorities and have an attorney.
I encourage others to search for fake profiles under their name. This is rampant and many don’t realize.

Today, on #InternationalWomensDay, we recognize the women affected by #KidneyCancer, as patients, caregivers, researchers, and advocates.
While kidney cancer is more common in men, thousands of women are diagnosed each year, and outcomes can vary based on stage, access to care, and participation in clinical research. Women remain underrepresented in some areas of research, making awareness and inclusion especially important.

The phrase “root cause of disease” has basically become wellness influencer code for: “I have no idea what I’m talking about, but here’s my discount code anyway.”
