TODAY’S FRONT // VOL. 105 ISSUE 6: The TTN Sports staff analyzed both Temple Basketball teams, key players and what to watch this season in the 2026 Basketball Preview.
10 new faces make up Temple men’s basketball’s roster this season. Head coach Adam Fisher made sure to not leave any boxes unchecked and refilled the roster with versatility across the court.
A look at the additions, for @TTN_Sports: temple-news.com/transfers-to…
Temple's final three minutes were pretty careless; however, they start 1-0 with a 68-56 win. What could have been an ideal opening night ended with some concerns about late-game situations.
Jordan Marsh led the way with 16 points, while Njie Baboucar grabbed 12 rebounds.
Temple opened the second half shooting 0-for-7, but a Jordan Marsh runner on the baseline ended the drought after 3:55.
Cam Scott followed suit on the other end, getting a steal and feeding Dez White for a three.
41-20 Owls with 15:18 to go.
Temple leads 36-16 at the half.
CCSU had a short 9-0 run, but it was all Temple other than that. They're defending full-court well and rebounding efficiently. The offense has been at its best when they push the pace and stay away from isolations.
CCSU wakes up after the media timeout, recording a 9-0 and making it a 10-point game with 11:17 to go.
Owls stopped spreading the ball around efficiently, turning the ball over and leading to a Blue Devils three-pointer spree. A layup by Cam Wallace settled the run.
Raining threes for Temple early. Three straight triples, two from Jordan Marsh and another from Gavin Griffiths, puts the Owls up 9-0 2:29 in.
Defense looks coherent as well here early with four new faces in the starting five.
Tonight's Temple starters, featuring four guards:
Cam Scott
Jordan Marsh
Dez White
Gavin Griffiths
