ALT Poem in a City of Sanctuary Since Musk bought Twitter, it’s got shitter. He’s not to blame for the Canadian fires Nor the deserts expanding, nor the reefs bleaching Nor the permanent loss of permafrost But. The situation is dire, & war in Ukraine - is just latest, most European, example Of petrol versus the people & the choice of the rich and powerful, like Musk Is that system change is hard & that scapegoating, that othering, is cheap Since Musk bought Twitter, it’s got shitter They could stop the boats tomorrow! But instead they’ve stopped processing claims & invested in blame & so we watched, whilst hubristic billionaires, sank to the wreck of the titanic. Imploded vanity & we turned a blind eye as we lost lost souls off Greece Because if you control the media, you control the message, if not the med Since Musk bought Twitter, it’s got shitter And those of us who can see what’s happening, Get to watch as our societies, like our glaciers, collapse.
