It’s time that Clowney should lose his spot in the rotation for either Minott or Wolf. Clowney remains inconsistent and has minimal impact on the game. We didn’t give him an extension for a reason and I don’t think he has a future with us.

Absolutely and both of them can get to the paint when they want which puts more pressure on the defense
You notice how the offense looks so much more competent with one of Nolan/MBJ as primary ball handling duties

My prediction is that Mikel will become the starter next week. I was pleasantly surprised that he played 27+ minutes last night.

It was no doubt a tough loss last night but what we witnessed is a rookie in Mikel who is not afraid of the big moment. He has a dawg mentality that we need to go along with talent as well as upside. I can’t wait to see the player that he will become.

I was wondering if he would play in OT but he played all 5 minutes. Hopefully he’ll start in the next few games.
Mikel played 27 minutes tonight, which exceeds the 24-minute threshold Jordi recently talked about a player needing to reach before they can be used as a starter. Despite a rough last minute of OT, Mikel showed some seriously impressive flashes. Wonder if he starts on Friday….

Well he better get going and do something when he’s in the game
Egor Demin on his leg injury: “It’s nothing serious. I’ll be ready to go… I just got kneed in the muscle/bone area… Now it feels better. I think I’ll be ready in a couple of days.”

The look on the face of Randle and MPJ after Mikel hit the 3 to send it to OT were that of 2 happy and proud older brothers

The overall numbers are not good as Mikel went for 5-17 but he carried us offensively in the 4th and he was clutch before making a big rookie mistake in OT. It’s a learning curve and it was an encouraging performance by him.

NBA will get someone to whack him lol
Enes Kanter Freedom claims he has secret recordings that will expose and bring down the NBA. “People think what I’m doing with the WNBA is a lot. Wait until they see what I’m going to do with the NBA.” (Via @sagesteele )

Damn their team is falling apart
OKC Thunder guard Alex Caruso is expected to miss some time after spraining his ankle last night against the Phoenix Suns, per @ShamsCharania. “There’s going to be some level of time he is likely to be missing as well.”

Egor needs to chill and let the game come to him
Egor Demin on #Nets 0-3 start: "Yeah definitely part of it is about us learning how to play together w/ this new group. Everybody was very excited for this season to start; there’s expectations & goals we have and thats putting us a little too excited about it, a little anxious."

We’re getting the same vibe!
Nets getting their first win of the season tonight.

Wagler is healthy with no minutes restriction and he’s coming off the bench
Mikel has been getting a good amount of minutes for a rookie, especially one that barely played in preseason.

Raiders probably think that they could break their losing streak against us
Replying to @BKNets613
You’re not wrong and how we play can’t argue with it

Other teams see us as the easy game
The Jets being 2-5 after losing to Miami is exactly why I stopped believing in “easy games.”

I wish but I think it’ll take a few more games
My hot take is he starts today

Hey Nets fam, Mikel Brown Jr plays basketball today. I hope he could play increased minutes tonight and that he’ll be starting soon.

Maybe we could beat the Celtics on a btb
For tomorrow's game at the Celtics, the Nets say rookies Joshua Jefferson and Tyler Bilodeau, along with Drake Powell, Ben Saraf, and Grant Nelson, will be OUT on their G League assignments. Boston has a game tonight and the only player out for them is Devin Carter (illness).
