octra is a new novelty in many ways, we think octraNFTs should be too. we’ve been experimenting with circle-hosted renderer NFTs.
static images and mp4 loops were unique in 2021. aren’t anymore, every chain has millions of them, and the art is effectively dead the moment it’s minted. what @octra can do differently is host both the program and its state onchain, turning an NFT from a static asset into a living program that can evolve over time. that's the next primitive, living NFTs.
an @octra Circle hosted NFT keeps its artwork as a running program on-chain, inside Octra Circles, instead of a file on a server or IPFS. bcs it runs, reacts to you, plays its own sound, and renders itself live from a single on-chain seed, with no external dependencies and no network.
and this is the part where wallets matter. when erc721 landed, wallets didn't support it day one, they adopted it over time and the ones that moved first set the standard. living NFTs are the same inflection. the wallet that pioneers and renders a living program natively, is the wallet that defines what an octraNFT could become. that's a leadership position and 0xio wallet is the first to support Circle hosted NFTs.
they’re already live on mainnet and native in @0xio_xyz wallet, with iframe support enabling user interactivity and audio.
Geodesics is the first collection built this way. (symbol GDSC) 144 living, fully on-chain generative pieces. each token is a small program.

at @euints, we see early stage octraNFTs as primitives and symbolic of early network believers than liquid assets. thus we are building+evolving for the long haul.
apologies for tag-bombing below octrachads, we’d love true octra supporters to inspect them at EUINTs.com, our DMs are open to feedbacks and ideas to improve the direction.

took @octra @lambda0xE's nudge and tested fhe ops on the new webcli. sealing values on chain works smoothly, encrypt and decrypt in under a second.
fhe traits for gdsc ii are on the table, think its overkill.

hi everyone, webcli has been updated, a lot has been done, we're counting it as version 0.06.01-alpha.
the cryptographic surface has been strengthened, as has security (this doesn't mean we've closed everything; we're working on it and it's far from finished),
anyone working with the dev net and planning to interact with the mainnet should update and test FHE ops on the devnet (this is perhaps one of the most important parts), working with circles, and more, we've also added access via an API key to automate some processes and make it easier if you're building a tool for some reason, access to the key is in the "settings" tab, so pass the key in the request header of your app - "Authorization: Bearer <api key>"
fyi: : webcli must be running, the api is only available on your puter, kep the key private.
webcli should be rebuilt, and also importantly - please keep a previous copy of webcli src in close access to your hands for some compatibility tasks (this will potentially be necessary).
thanks everyone.

Geodesics II is coming, and we're glad it will be trading on Xpectrum.
euints are taking living art further: pieces that keep evolving after mint, drawn live from an on-chain seed and the state of the token itself. It's some of the most interesting work happening on Octra, and worth reading in full.

a new unscheduled release is now available for vals. please upgrade your nodes (a lot has been done on recovery and sync + an old bug from an earlier implementation at the vm level has been fixed) *
* the node could process the same epoch twice, and the root at that moment was different, when building and checking proposals at the consensus level, it was specified as 32 raw bytes (the earliest implementation from the end of 2024),and when using the epoch from the head, it was transmitted as a 64-hex string, so the bug was found during pre-release main net testing for mem compatibility of different program envs
upgrading is easy -
sh controls/upgrade.sh
sh controls/upgrade.sh --apply
