Game 08 Uni Combo: All navy! A surprise uniform combo is returning this week vs ASU! BYU's only worn 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐲 twice since 2005 (1-1) but held a 20-16 record from 1999-2004 in the navy+tan era.

OTD in 2021 - BYU wore 🔵 🔵 ⚪️ aka "The Virgil" uniform combo for the first time since 1968. The Cougars beat Virginia in the return of Bronco Mendenhall, 66-49.

Looks like ASU is going with ⚫️ ⚪️ ⚫️ on Saturday. While it's cool, it's the worst possible combo for the uni matchup. Navy vs black ....gold or maroon could have been miles better.

BYU is 21-17 when wearing all navy (uni combo began in 1999) but just 4-8 in the last 12. The Cougs haven't worn navy against ASU in the modern era and this will be just the 2nd appearance of all navy since joining the Big 12.

BYU’s navy blue helmet history is wide-ranging! Across 82 games, we’ve seen several unique variations: • 1999–2004: Navy with single tan stripe • 2021: Matte finish with Stretch Y • 2023: Gloss finish with royal speckle, Outline Stretch Y • 2023: Gloss finish with royal speckle, Stretch Y, white face mask This week, we’re adding another new look to the list! Which of these helmet variations is your favorite?

BYU and Arizona State have only played 6 times over the last 47 years! The Cougs have worn white jerseys in 4 of those games and white helmets in 5! This Saturday's all navy uniform will bring a lot of firsts against the Sun Devils.

Much delayed and deserved update to the Uniform Tracker for @byusoccer_w! Just two games remain in the regular season, and the Cougs are ranked 16th in the country and tied for 2nd place in the Big 12!

BYU is wearing 𝐧𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐣𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐲𝐬 at home for the second time this season on Saturday! The Cougs have been historically good at home in navy jerseys (𝟕𝟎-𝟏𝟑 since 2005).

WOW! All navy at home for just the 3rd time since 2005!

Had to get some help from @BYUstatsMAN, but a BYU-Utah regular season game hasn’t been in a day time slot since 2010 (1:30 pm) 🤯 This is going to be absolutely wild.

BYU and UCF history on a late night Friday! The Cougs lead 4-1 all time with just two of the games being played in Provo! Tomorrow BYU will wear royal helmets vs the Knights for the 3rd straight year!

UCF will be repeating the same uniform combo from the 2024 game.

BYU is headed to the east coast for the 6th time in the Big 12 era! BYU is 13-7 under Kalani when playing two time zones ahead, and an active 4 game winning streak! The Cougs have only worn royal helmets 3 times on the east coast but have used white with royal trim in 9 of 12!
