Listen if there’s any series where they can reinvent the roster and re-justify the meaning behind the name every film, it’s this one

Plan originally was for Thunderbolts ep 2 to come out Halloween, but it's still got a way to go. So I've got a long vid halfway worked on, and if that also fails to get done, a short one. Somehow, you'll still get the usual number of vids this year. I'm not very good at this lol

The good news is when I'm not strictly making Thunderbolts it's like I've taken the weights off and can produce a normal video way faster and more confidently. Just sorry I didn't figure out how I could properly multitask waaaay sooner.

Also it's not a Halloween themed Thunderbolts episode per se, so I'm not that cut up about it missing that deadline, but I wouldn't mind getting *one* of these out around then, and one episode of the story specifically...

Loyd was very supportive during my time as a student and then runner at Aardman. He gave valuable advice during my animation internship that elevated the quality of my work, and he took the time to give feedback on my showreel. A notably knowledgeable and friendly man.
We’re deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Loyd Price. A gifted animator, mentor and friend, Loyd dedicated more than 30 years to Aardman, inspiring and championing generations of animators along the way. We feel lucky and proud to have known him and our thoughts are with his whole family ❤️

I was fortunate enough to learn from Loyd when I did my Aardman internship years ago, and they're right, an incredibly generous and honest teacher making an effort to inspire new blood. Also one of the few animators who worked on The Nightmare Before Christmas. A true legend.

Uh oh
The worst thing about getting into yt video essays is slowly realising that all the best video essayists have already retired.

Ancient B Lore but I hated AOU in 2015. Not only is this new show looking to reverse a lot of my issues but the first trailer had Jarvis and a Sondheim Song so I think we're good now

Surprise!!!! My first ever collab with the wonderful @itsnicktendo, finally getting to talk about this mad little show I've alluded to over the years. Had a blast being part of this and hope you enjoy it, and the included face reveal pic where you can see me dressed as Lord Hater

Was walking into a Maria Friedman concert, I look behind me before I open the door and boom, there’s Stephen Sondheim.
share a piece of musical theatre lore about yourself

We locked eyes for maybe a second while he was chatting with friends, so I’ll always have that. My mum also had some letter correspondence with him recommending a book to adapt. He was, err, polite about /not/ doing that.

Do I have more stories like this, sure, but Sondheim crossing my path in this lifetime kind of tops them all.
