The true beauty of this photo is what these cones will bring to families and our earth in the future. Inside the cones are seeds that will sow to grow up to be your future Christmas Tree and keep large tracts of spaces green across North America. #CanaanFir #ConeHarvest

Good round-up from @davpjor: rollcall.com/2026/10/27/tran… “It’s very easy for me to imagine utility lobbying against the transmission reforms either sinking the bill or, in a scenario where the bill passes, just severely weakening the parts of it that have the most buy-in.” - me.

The PJM utilities are at it again! In 2024, FERC rejected the utilities' coup, finding that changes to their contract w PJM would have given them control over PJM. Looking to capitalize on turmoil at PJM, the utilities are trying again -- go.pjm.com/l/678183/2026-10-…
On Friday night, FERC rejected the PJM utilities' attempted coup. Great work by state regulators in the region to oppose the utilities' self-serving proposal. FERC rejected the utilities on multiple grounds. elibrary.ferc.gov/eLibrary/f…

Day two of the MARL hearings! WV PSC Chairman Charlotte Lane asks PJM’s Dr. Sami Abdulsalam who makes the decisions on what is actually done. His answer: PJM’s Board has the final say. Chairman Lane responds that the PJM Board doesn’t pay any attention to the states.

How do we know utilities will try to block, weaken or kill transmission reforms Congress is considering now? They've done it many times before. Here are examples, mostly from the Southeast, courtesy of Southern, Entergy, and Duke. 1/ latitudemedia.com/news/why-f…

Thank you to Psychiatric News for recently interviewing me to help spread awareness about the neuropsychiatric side effects of montelukast (Singulair).
🎬 In July, we published a consultation-liaison psychiatry column on the asthma medication montelukast (which is prescribed to both children and adults)—and it received a big reaction. So we followed up, speaking with an advocate about this medication and why many people are unaware of the psychiatric side effects.

Protecting America's producers and ensuring our working land is dedicated to feeding the country is a commitment to upholding our nation's food security and strengthening our rural communities. That's why I am proud to introduce legislation that supports our farmers now and in the future.

“Today, farmland is being squeezed from every direction: housing developments, data centers, high-power transmission lines, and more. Each loss may be explained as progress, but together they form a painful pattern.”

Curious- if @JimJustice_WV were our current governor would he speak out against NextEra’s MARL Transmission line? Our current governor @MorriseyWV hasn’t taken a stance against it.
Patrick seems awfully eager to take shots at people who actually take risks, build businesses and create jobs in West Virginia. I’ve spent my life doing exactly that — signing the front of paychecks for thousands of West Virginians, not just collecting one.   My family saved The Greenbrier, invested hundreds of millions of dollars in West Virginia and helped put thousands of people to work. Now the resort has a strong new partner and a bright future. Patrick can keep playing politics. We’ll keep building.
