South Dakota QB Austin Modrzewski now has 24 touchdown passes on the season and is 5th at USD in a single season. He needs 2 more to tie Aidan Bouman's 2025 season and 3 more to tie Austin Simmons in 2019 with 27

🚨 THE TSO FCS TOP 25 — OCTOBER 26
Week 8 is in the books. Built on the résumé, not the logo.
1. @TarletonFB (8-0)
2. @SFA_Football (8-0)
3. @MSUBobcats_FB (7-1)
4. @SDCoyotesFB (7-2)
5. @UNDfootball (6-3)
6. @ysufootball (6-2)
7. @GoJacksFB (6-2)
8. @NAU_Football (6-2)
9. @HarvardFootball (6-0)
10. @GoCamelsFB (7-1)
11. @TNTechFootball (7-1)
12. @GovsFB (7-2)
13. @RedbirdFB (6-2)
14. @LamarFootball (6-2)
15. @MUHawksFB (6-2)
16. @ETSUFootball (6-2)
17. @MercerFootball (6-2)
18. Richmond (6-2)
19. @LehighFootball (6-2)
20. @MontanaGrizFB (5-3)
21. @UCDfootball (5-3)
22. Weber State (5-4)
23. @BengalGridiron (5-3)
24. South Carolina State (6-2)
25. @StonyBrookFB (5-3)
📈 BIGGEST RISER: @SDCoyotesFB, 9 → 4. They beat No. 3 North Dakota head-to-head, 26-23 in OT. By Week 8 there are no flukes — if you beat them, you're better than them. Those wins count.
📉 BIGGEST FALLER: @LehighFootball, 6 → 19. Two straight losses — Cornell, then Villanova. The résumé doesn't lie.
NEW IN: Richmond, Weber State, South Carolina State, @StonyBrookFB.
OUT: Southeastern Louisiana, Cornell, Morgan State, Northern Iowa.
FIRST OUT: Villanova — the win over Lehigh is real credit, but 4-4 is 4-4. Win at Lafayette and you're in.
Who's too high, who's too low, and who's still getting robbed? #FCSFootball

The Valley race is heating up and only 3 teams control their own destiny for the MVFC championship (or share of it). To say Saturday’s game in Brookings is a big one would be a massive understatement.
