WATCH: Baltimore City is saddled up with $3 billion in debt, but that hasn't kept city leaders from asking to borrow millions of dollars more. The city is asking voters to approve four separate bond issues, which would allow the city to borrow $280 million. Most of the money would go toward public infrastructure, but tonight accountants are asking why. Tune into FOX45 at 10 p.m. to learn more: bit.ly/4grwJt0

An unlicensed cab driver is charged with kidnapping a 15-year-old girl and forcing her into his basement apartment on Garrison Boulevard in Northwest Baltimore. Police say he stabbed her at least 5 times, leaving her with a collapsed lung. She fought back and hit him with a fire extinguisher then ran down the street naked and bloody where she eventually got help. @wjz

Most Black dads are present and loving. A CDC report found that Black fathers living with their kids were more likely to participate in daily caregiving than white or Hispanic dads (cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhsr/nhsr0…). We must STOP the myth of absent Black dads. --Berenice Richland-Howard

Corporate landlords have been using AI to secretly inflate your rent. They call it innovation, I call it collusion. That's why the Council just unanimously passed my bill, the Anti-Algorithmic Price Fixing Act (Bill 8-26), to ban this practice outright.

Horrible #racism! An amazing 3-year-old Black boy named Nevada in Winter Park, Florida, utterly dominated in a youth soccer game against older white teammates. Then jealous white parents called the cops and had Nevada and his family charged with trespassing! Via @nevadaney10

Up to 2,600 Maryland residents, including 1,500 households, could lose federal housing aid as the Department of Housing and Urban Development shifts funding from permanent supportive housing; grants expire Jan. 31, with awards due Dec. 1. Lower Shore nonprofits say they lack capacity — Diakonia’s Ken Argot warns: “There is nowhere for them to go.” Maryland and other states are challenging HUD's funding changes in court, with the outcome potentially determining which programs retain federal support.
