The Pahlavi movement is a PsyOp, they have no support inside Iran. Their primary objective is to serve as a false opposition to the regime and divert attention away from the actual opposition groups inside Iran such as the Kurds, Baluch, Ahwaz, and Azeris.

The Jordanian Armed Forces under King Hussein carried out the main operations against PLO fedayeen bases and refugee camps in September 1970. Estimates of Palestinian deaths range from roughly 2,000–3,400 to higher figures claimed by Arafat. Syria briefly sent tanks to support the PLO but was driven back with heavy losses. Pakistani officers including Zia-ul-Haq provided training and limited advisory support to Jordan.
