When we change the question from how many cars can fit through this street into how many people can it move.
This street now serves 30.000 cyclists on an average week day. Plus thousands of bus passengers and pedestrians.

I come back here every so often looking for pix I shared, like these ones of the really wonderful @wsdot_southwest land bridge over I5. Took @Amtrak_Cascades down with my bike for a fun & easy multimodal trip. #BicyclesChangeLives #BikeVANWA #BikesAndTrains #WSDOTActive
Heading to Vancouver meeting of TIB via the very cool land bridge over I5. #BikeVanWa @WAbikes #RideInTheRain

"Few people know how to take a walk. The qualifications are endurance, plain clothes, old shoes, an eye for nature, good humour, vast curiosity, good speech, good silence, and nothing too much."

Yes, we should get more information at the point of sale about effects of vehicle design on people outside it.
Or, y'know, federal regulators could reconsider what they've unleashed on a public that didn't ask for this.

I've been talking with folks about "stakeholder" and heard again today from Andrew Strobel, Tlingit tribal member and planner for the Puyallup Tribe, on a panel at #AASHTOSM: As tribes we aren't stakeholders. We're decision makers, policy makers, rights holders. #WordsMatter
Every so often I come looking for this again because it's so darn entertaining.
All ages and abilities! Pic taken in Port Townsend on SR20 by @WSDOT's Scott Davis. Guess the buck didn't see the don't-walk signal, or chose to ignore it.

Came here to search for specific info I know I shared some time ago. Search here is SO BAD. I used the from:username structure. Results ignored hashtags and keywords I included. If this is AI I'm not impressed.

So many city deliveries would be easier with an electric cargo bike, rather than standard vans and trucks.

I started this string of songs in the earliest days of the pandemic. So many of these feel even more relevant to me now.
Songs speaking to me that make me feel some kind of way.
"Still trying to get up that great big hill of hope to a destination....
And I scream from the top of my lungs
What's going on?"

LOVE reading this from a happy recipient of e-bike rebate voucher. #WSDOTActive team excited by the response, getting lots of happy messages.

Thank you to @wsdot and the WE-Bike program. I never would have been able to afford this beauty on my own. The freedom of mobility this gives me now that I'm not bound by bus schedules is amazing.
