Charleston remains the ONLY North American city to run a uniform, stamped-metal badge system for urban slave labor. These copper badges reveal a larger truth: Charleston licensed, numbered, monitored, and taxed Black labor. Who knew?🤔 #KeepItWoke #DedicatedToTam✡️🕊

Many of Charleston's roads, buildings, docks, and infrastructure were built or maintained by enslaved artisans and laborers. Their work shaped the city, yet their names were forgotten—omitted, or never known. The badge system remained in force until slavery ended in 1865. (cont)

in 1783, the city required many free Black residents to register and wear "Free" badges identifying their legal status. In urban centers, enslavers often "hired out" skilled laborers (blacksmiths, porters, carpenters) into the city. By 1786, Charleston codified(cont)

⚠️WOKE CONTENT⚠️™️ 🧵 In 19th-century Charleston, SC, urban slavery gave rise to a unique and chilling tool of control: Charleston Slave Badges. Who knew? 🤔 Pull up a seat🪑, my friends. #ProudBlue #ResistanceRoots #USDemocracy #Voices4Victory relicrecord.com/blog/charles…

What the racist fucking fucks? JFC, the only thing that eclipses this absolutely despicable racism is the galactic magnitude of @RobertKennedyJr's fucking stupidity, so confidently croaked out. From the top, five hundred is an Arabic numeral, you asbestos-throated fucking idiot.
RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Novel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

BREAKING: YES! A federal judge delivers a HUGE black eye to Trump's corrupt Justice Department by ruling that James Comey's daughter was unlawfully fired as a prosecutor and must be given back pay! And it gets even better... “Defendants’ argument is contrary to an unbroken line of Supreme Court decisions dating back almost two centuries, and the Supreme Court itself has not formally overruled any of those decisions. That is sufficient, in itself, to reject the argument,” U.S. District Judge Jesse Furman wrote, rejecting the administration's arguments that it had lawful authority to fire her. Maurene Comey was removed last year from her role as a criminal prosecutor in the Southern District of New York without legitimate cause. Her termination was a transparent attempt by the infamously vindictive Trump to punish James Comey by punishing his family. It was a blatant abuse of power and Maurene Comey quickly sued the Justice Department. She convincingly argued that she was fired over her perceived political affiliations and because of her connection to her father, a despised figure in MAGA world. Judge Furman ruled that the firing ran afoul of restrictions put in place by Congress that carefully limit the manner in which assistant U.S. attorneys can be removed. “Defendants’ contention that recent Supreme Court decisions have fatally undermined that precedent is not one that this Court, as a lower court, may accept. It is also without merit,” the judge wrote. “Indeed, to accept Defendants’ argument would be to unsettle the very equilibrium established by this Nation’s constitutional system.” “This hard-earned victory belongs to Ms. Comey, to all civil servants, and to all fighting for the rule of law,” stated Comey's attorneys, adding that it is a win for "our bedrock system of checks and balances.” Please ❤️ and share to thank the judge!

BREAKING: LOL! Trump totally MELTS DOWN after Obama said that he made the White House look like "Saddam Hussein opened a Cheesecake Factory" in a hilarious jab. This is the freakout we were waiting for... "And you have to remember the White House, we have to explain that to Obama, because he doesn't understand it, because he's not a smart guy," a furious Trump told reporters. "Let me tell you, in my opinion, he's not smart at all, because the way he ran the country, only a stupid person would run the country like that," he continued. "But we have to explain to Obama that the White House is a symbol of America, and it has to be maintained properly." Of course, if Obama were actually stupid he would have "maintained" the White House by, say, demolishing our nation's beloved East Wing to build a hideous, unnecessary ballroom. Now THAT would have been stupid... Or maybe he could have started a disastrous war with Iran on Israel's behalf, driven up gas prices, tanked the economy, and engaged in a widespread coverup of Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking network. But no President could possibly be that stupid, right? "It has to be painted, and the exterior plaster can't be falling off the walls," Trump went on. "And the decorations and ornaments around the windows that are magnificent can't be on one side of the window and falling off on the other side. So we took molds of the one side and we put it on the other side, and we did a beautiful job." Anyone who has seen pictures of the Oval Office under Trump knows just how perfectly Obama hit the bullseye with his Cheesecake Factory joke. It's atrocious, decked out in cheap fake gold and ugly trim. It's a monument to bad taste and now every foreign leader that visits is immediately reminded that our country is being run by a failed casino operator. "Very little money spent. It's not about money. It's about seeing," Trump went on. "Guys like Obama don't see it. You don't see dirt. He doesn't see filth. He doesn't see broken ornaments on a building. The White House, to President Obama: Is a symbol of America. It has to be clean." "The columns can't be broken," Trump huffed on. The bricks can't be falling off from under the plaster. And for you to say it's a Cheesecake Factory, that just shows why you're a lousy president." The fact that Trump can get so worked up talking about his taste in aesthetics, but admits that he doesn't care about rising gas prices, just demonstrates what an abject failure he is. Obama baited him, and he took it hook, line, and sinker. Pathetic. Please ❤️ and share if you think that Obama is a thousand times smarter than Trump!

You don't get to worship a man who preached compassion for the poor, welcomed the stranger, defended the vulnerable, and condemned greed, then turn around and applaud the very things he spoke against. You don't get to wrap yourself in Christianity while treating compassion, humility, mercy, and basic human decency as weaknesses. You certainly don't get to lecture the rest of us about morality while making excuses for behavior you would condemn in anyone else. Your Bible verse isn't a character reference. Your church attendance isn't proof of goodness, and calling yourself a Christian doesn't automatically make your choices Christlike. The Jesus you claim to worship would be ashamed of the cruelty you excuse in his name. You can put a cross around your neck, a Bible verse in your bio, and a Christian bumper sticker on your car, but none of those things makes hypocrisy holy. If your faith only extends to people who look like you, love like you, worship like you, or vote like you, then what exactly are you worshipping? Take the Bible verse out of your bio. And shame on you. -@fakeadultmom 💜💜💜💜💜💜
