If the Eels go really big with their offer, it’s possible but I still think Bradman wants to stay a Knight
No question the Knights will need an answer one way or another on their current offer pretty soon

@BarryToohey hey Baz, Bradman’s comments on O’Sullivan probably didn’t surprise me. It’s the role of a Recruitment Manager to move players on, create salary ceilings in positions. I imagine many plays don’t get what they want under a prudent RM.
Were you surprised by Bradman?
In the end, Bradman refused to deal with Sully and put talks on hold so what he said publicly didn’t come as a surprise. The cap is a financial balancing act. Signing Niukore for $600k plus for 3 years was a big mistake. Could have kept Frizell for less than half the money.

The Knights will lose a few players they would love to keep over the next few years

@BarryToohey frank and Jermaine need to become number one priorities to extend before November 1 next season, the wolves will be at the door for both of them. With the cap going up in 2028. How much room do we realistically have to upgrade them if we sign Bradman to his deal?
He has just re-signed for three more years Jake and got the third year at the insistence of the coach to prevent him from signing with the Cowboys.
Obviously things change if Best goes as long as Hunt hasn’t already committed elsewhere

Please don’t say that. Surely if best goes he’s the replacement? On best it’s starting to get annoying. U have a revised offer yet ur still going to open market so obviously ur still not happy. So go then.
Wouldn’t think so

Surely he gets Marzhews wing spot at some time next year? Hes 30 next year and he’s gonna get targeted every big game we play from now on. Like he did in the GF. Don’t know why every team doesn’t do it to us. The tall athletic winger seems to be the go these days too.
Didn’t get many opportunities John
Signed until end of 28 Josh
I’ll be shocked if he stays beyond next season
Hope you are going well Jimmy
Heard he signed with West Rosellas Shane

@BarryToohey Hi Barry I read last week the knights sign young Broden Konz from the bulldogs he has played around 30 cup games and it was his first year out of Fleeg do you know much about him?
….and didn’t want Barnett

Interesting scenario where Sully moved on both Gags and WDC and now he’s joined them Broncos
De Courcey was signed by the Broncos well before O’Sullivan departed.

@BarryToohey broncos announced Wilson De Courcey signed yesterday. Was that O Sullivan ?
Also still slot on reports Best unhappy with knights offer- I’m hoping that was the first offer they made and the Sydney media just looking to stir us up? U confident Braddy will stay
Field previously worked for the Eels yep. Has been a player manager since than until now

@BarryToohey
Any truth to this? Anthony Field (no not from the Cockroaches and later The Wiggles) was also the head of recruitment and elite pathways manager at Parramatta from 2013-20, during their dark days, so this is slightly a red flag.
Bradman wasn’t happy the way contract negotiations were going and with the offer he received from Peter O’Sullivan so he put talks on hold. Now that Sully has gone, I’d imagine he is feeling more confident of getting a deal done to extend at the Knights.
Other priorities at this stage presumably. Doesn’t mean he won’t be re-signed. Coming off his best season but money for 28 is tight

Barry any reason why knights haven’t resigned croker wouldn’t think he would break the bank and he loves the club
Someone hasn’t done their homework

Baz how are we meant to take these journos seriously when they say someone who isnt even at the club is in the running for a centre spot next year
If he gets his work ethic and attitude right, he could be a future star. Terrific mover

@BarryToohey I haven't seen much of De Courcey, what's he like as a player? (Sort if I've worded that terribly)
Hearing the chances of him re-signing have improved. Manuleleua is a real talent but would not be judging a potential move to lock on a game against France.

@BarryToohey give it to me straight Baz is Bradman going to resign with us?
And question 2, as good as Croker was all year it’s difficult fitting 3 into 2 (gun back rowers). Do you see a world where we see 11. Lucas , 12. McEwen 13. Manuleleu
