Baseball is the only sport where you have hours to think during a game.
That’s why the mental side becomes the biggest challenge.
The goal isn’t to eliminate thoughts.
The goal is to control how you respond to them.

Most high school teams are too quiet.
College teams aren’t.
Watch college infields.
Before every pitch you hear it.
“Two! Two! Two!”
“Cut four!”
“Hold the runner!”
“Back! Back! Back!”
They aren’t talking for fun.
They’re organizing the defense.
Quiet teams miss plays.
Late relays.
Missed cutoffs.
Two fielders on the same ball.
Nobody covering the bag.
College defenses are loud.
Because communication fixes mistakes
before they happen.
High school players stay quiet.
College players run the field
with their voice.
And the gap between high school and college?
It’s not talent.
It’s communication.

The best thing about baseball?
Failure is part of the deal.
You just keep showing up.
Keep working.
Keep competing.
Because tomorrow… you get another shot.

"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not." — Dr. Seuss 🌎💙
A huge thank you to our Varsity Baseball team for spending their morning at Alkek Elementary! They braved the car loop to give high-fives and morning greetings to our younger Bulldogs as they arrived for school to celebrate Dr. Seuss's birthday.
There is nothing quite like the look on a young student's face when they see a Varsity athlete they look up to. This heartwarming visit was the FIRST stop for the boys before hitting the road to head to The Dilly Baseball Tournament today!
Thank you, boys, for representing Bandera with such class and kindness before heading out to compete! ⚾️💙
