Something clicked for the #Blackhawks tonight. Their forechecking improved. They were much more creative and aggressive with the puck. Zone entries were better. I don't know what happened, but tonight was certainly a step in the right direction. Let's see this trend continue.

That Moore-Nazar-Kane line made a huge difference. Generated tons of offense, and allowed Wyatt Kaiser to score the game-winner. Awesome stuff.

Missing some context here. There was, in fact, a political party in Israel that long embraced the possibility of a Palestinian state. That was the Labor Party. But then the second intifada happened, the Palestinian Authority abandoned any pretense of democracy, and Hamas was elected in Gaza, killed off the opposition — and then, well, attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, murdering more than 1,200. Had the Palestinians, at any step along the way, accepted the Jewish state, and embraced self-rule, they would, no doubt, be in a very different place today. They might even have a state. But because Palestinians can’t push past their hatred of Israel, because so many of their “supporters” insist on viewing them as toddlers and encourage that hatred (financially and otherwise), they remain confined to a quasi-permanent liminality. Which is awful for Palestinians but very useful for those who wish to use them as a cudgel with which to bludgeon Israel.
This is true. Except for the Arab parties, nearly all of Israel’s factions agree on one thing: opposing a Palestinian state. The problem isn’t just about Netanyahu. That’s always been a cop-out to distract from a much deeper problem at the core of the contemporary Israel state.

But the six million Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank aren't Israeli citizens. Of course they're not eligible to vote in Israeli elections. Same reason Canadians can't vote in American elections.
She knows that the actual issue is the 6 million Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank who can’t vote. She just thinks you’re too dumb to know.

Oh, I guess the United States is an apartheid nation because it doesn't allow non-citizens to vote 🤪

Soccer phenom Kylian Mbappé has been forced to apologize after (correctly) labeling Mao Zedong a dictator. And yet Israel is the country we're supposedly not allowed to criticize.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Mao Zedong is under any single social metric a dictator. Not a single popular election, single government party and lifetime leadership. Not even taking into account the millions of deaths under his reign. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mao_Zedong

I do think people are overrating this jersey. Yeah, it's decent, but it's also supremely lazy. Just copying the first "Mighty Ducks" movie's homework, as far as I'm concerned. It also doesn't help that I'm not a very big fan of the "Mighty Ducks" franchise lmao
In case you’re more of a squinting person than a scrolling person… We now have TWENTY of the upcoming Hometown Remix jerseys, nearly 2/3rds of the league. Who’s in the lead for your favorite? 🍎: @abslswrld @carterrichardd

It will never cease to amaze me that we actually won the Stanley Cup in 1938 lmao

A side note: the goalie pictured is Mike Karakas, the starting goaltender who helped lead the #Blackhawks to their insanely improbable 1938 Stanley Cup championship

In and of itself, I don't hate the #Blackhawks HTR jersey. But more could've been done. Yes, our look is iconic, but when I see what the Habs, Pens and Oilers did their HTRs, this one plays it way too safe. If we wanted to go green, why not replicate the AHA Chicago Shamrocks?

Commenting as a #Blackhawks fan who loves the Red Wings' jerseys. I get not wanting to fuck with a great thing (basically the reason why our HTR jersey is a green recolor of our red primary), but yes, this HTR really cheapens the Wings' iconic look. Really sucks.
The Red Wings' Hometown Remix jersey is terrible. 2nd worst jersey in franchise history. Looks like a Walmart fan jersey. Huge pass here. #LGRW

My thoughts: Hawks should've done more. Not a fan of city and number on front, but Bruins' HTR isn't terrible. Oilers' HTR is better than their current alternate. Red Wings' HTR is a HUGE disappointment. Penguins' HTR is audacious, but cool. Canadiens' HTR is my favorite.

Also: Canes' HTR reminds me of NC State (probably intentional). Kings' HTR is super purple, but it works well. Sharks' HTR is too busy. I think the Ducks', Panthers' and Hawks' jerseys will be embraced by their respective fanbases, or at least certain parts of their fanbases.

I wouldn't normally comment on a win graphic for a team I don't root for, but this one is absolutely hilarious. Angered all the right people. Good work, Seahawks admin 🤝

As a #Blackhawks fan, I'm grateful to the St. Louis Blues organization for taking such a strong, unapologetic stance against antisemitism.

All the 1926 expansion teams are playing at home. I don't think it's by accident, considering the year and dates.

I think it's time everyone remembers one thing: If a terrorist attack similar in proportion to October 7 in Israel occurred in the United States, it would mean terrorists killing around 44,000 Americans in the span of just several hours. Basically, 9/11 times 14.

If reports that the extension mostly benefited Lula voters due to voting machines in Bolsonaro constituencies having already been turned off are substantiated, I do think a new vote ought to be held. This matter is worth investigating. Free and fair elections are indispensible.
BREAKING: Brazilian electoral lawyers say a new vote may be needed after Lula’s former lawyer, now a Supreme Court justice, unilaterally extended voting hours.
