It’s fantastic to see that the number of late children has improved drastically since the Autumn term! Keep up the hard work! There were 19 last week - let’s aim for less this week 🤞🏻

We were delighted with the teamwork and skills displayed by our year 5+6 students in the South Cambs School Sport Partnership Hockey Event. Although lots of our students had never played competitive hockey before, they showed incredible determination and had fun!

Dear parents/carers, the school phone lines are not working. BT will be onsite tomorrow to rectify the issue. Please email the school office for hometime arrangements and absences tomorrow.

In science Year 2 have been learning about everyday materials and their suitability for purpose. We tried making bridges with paper and discussed how to make them sturdier to support weight. In DT we have been making moving vehicles linked to our history topic!

We are very proud of our year 5/6 girls football team, who took part in the SCSP Football Development Competition on Tuesday. Not only did the girls go unbeaten all afternoon (topping their group and division), they also received a nomination for the spirit of the games award!

Well done to the Year 3/4 boys, who participated in the football fixture against Melbourne Primary school. They played really well and earned a great victory! It was also great to receive positive comments from the Melbourne staff about the way the students conducted themselves.

Everyone who attended the panto is safely back in school. We had a wonderful time . We even received three comments from theatre staff and the general public regarding the ‘exemplary behaviour’ of our children. Well done everyone!

What an exciting way to finish The Great Fire of London topic in Year 2!

We are working hard to improve attendance. A big thank you for engaging so well! The data (95.14%) shows we are taking steps in the right direction - as we are in line with National (95.30%). Please be reminded that attendance expectations are 96%+. Let’s keep up the great work!

This week in Eco club, the children made biodegradable seeding pots out of newspaper. We can’t wait to see which wildflowers grow over the next few weeks! Pictures to follow

YR6 used Henry Moore's Shelter Paintings as inspiration today. They investigated neutral colour pallettes and wax resist techniques.

Year 6 have created fabulous compositions of London during the blitz, using a range of mediums such as, watercolour, sketching, charcoal, ink and chalk.

Y6 are on their way back to school - traffic (and ATM road blockages depending) we will be back at school for 3pm!
