Just 1 month after M7's military tortured @HEBobiwine, @ZaakeFrancis & other opposition leaders to near death in 2018, "Papa" had this to say. His political views have been consistent, we just refuse to hear what we hear and only hear what we want to hear.
Papa, when I was told that you had attended that meeting, I told my colleagues that you were obeying powers and principalities, just as you have always taught us.
But when I listened to your submission, I was heartbroken.
The fact that it was another pastor who spoke about political prisoners, while you, my spiritual father who leads one of the largest youthful congregations said that โPLU is not known to be an abusive and subversive party,โ broke my heart even more.
Papa, you know that the young people in your church are informed and intelligent. They have phones. They see the videos of abductions involving men in military uniforms acting under the authority of the very people you were praising.
Papa, you teach us to let God fight our battles. Yet at that same meeting, you raised the issue of Gashumbaโs statements about our church before PLU leaders in a manner that sounded like you were asking them to take action against him.
Papa, you have hurt thousands of young people, including those who may never have the courage to write a post like this.
We forgive you. We will still come to church, sit in our usual seats, worship God and listen to your sermons.
But Papa, forgiveness does not mean we were not hurt. And remaining in church does not mean we agree with everything you said. @Phanerookampala

Tanzania High Court's ruling acquitting comrade Tundu Lissu of the politically motivated treason charges is a victory against the ultimate weapon of state intimidation. The Tanzanian regime tried to threaten him with the death penalty simply for demanding free, fair, and transparent electoral reforms but failed to prove its malicious claims because truth cannot be hidden by judicial overreach.
However, the decision to convict him on the engineered, lesser charge of "incitement" and to sentence him to four years in prison is a glaring reminder of how autocrats weaponize the judiciary to silence legitimate opposition. Convicting him for his rightful defense of democracy - his call for "No Reforms, No Election" - proves that the state manufactured an offense purely to keep a powerful voice of the people locked away.
From Kampala to Dar es Salaam, our struggle against generational dictatorships and electoral autocracy remains unified. A cage can restrain bodies, but it can never imprison the spirit of freedom ignited across the region.
We stand with you, Chadema, and with you the great people of Tanzania, in rejecting the ongoing persecution. Aluta Continua!
Really???
This is Tadeo Balimunsi who was wrongly imprisoned for 11 years. He spent all those years on remand before the case against was dismissed recently. He is so depressed he says, in the many phone calls he has made to me, that he thinks itโs better to die or go back to prison. He doesnโt know where to start from. The state that kept him in jail for over a decade isnโt at least taking responsibility to compensate him so that he has what to start from? He asks for your help๐๐ฝ

Everything in this video is absolutely right, someone who has never paid taxes, never slept hungry before, never had any hardships while growing up. I also donโt think he feels what we are going through while being over taxed, struggling to get what to eat and meet all ends. Will this president feel an ordinary personโs pain?

This is Legkwo Felix Adupe, a brilliant engineer and my Old Boy (OB) from Dr. Obote College, Boroboro in Lira. At DOC, Felix was an exceptionally bright, deeply committed, and hardworking student who won the respect of everyone around him, he did PCM.
He is also an orphan and comes from Pader District, he fought hard to change his background, molding bricks and working school farms on weekends just to compensate for his A-Level fees, as he could narrate. He broke district records at Achol-Pii Army SS, scoring the first 1st grade and a 100% in UNEB math. Supported later by FAWE and the Mastercard Foundation, he graduated from Gulu University with an outstanding Second Class Upper (4.35 CGPA) in Biosystems Engineering, majoring in renewable energy and food security. He even used his student stipends to build his family's first iron-sheet house after theirs burned down, while single-handedly funding his siblings' school fees.
This is the heartbreaking reality of Ugandan youth who want a better future but sometimes end up in the hands of the wrong people. While searching for opportunities to fund his Master's dreams, transnational syndicates maliciously trapped him in a human trafficking nightmare in Myanmar and Thailand.
I have been reading about these dangerous criminal networks that lure educated, youth by advertising fake, high-paying jobs and good scholarships in Thailand. Once the unsuspecting victims arrive, they are kidnapped, smuggled across the border, and locked inside fortified, militia-run compounds in lawless regions of Myanmar. There, they are chained, tortured, and forced to run online financial and romance scams for up to 19 hours a day. The situation is so severe that the U.S. Department of State has placed Myanmar on Tier 3-the worst possible global rating for human trafficking.
We pray he finds his way back home fully healthy. We also pray he gets an alternative path to achieve his academic dreams, practice his engineering, and support his family so that those who pinned their hopes on him can see him thrive. See the video here of how he was requesting for assistance, and you can read his full, inspiring story on the FAWE Uganda page too. faweuganda.org/legkwo-felix-โฆ
He has been released from captivity by the armed compounds but he is not yet back home, and he is not in a good health condition. I strongly call upon the Government of Uganda, the Acholi community leaders, and all citizens to urgently throw their full weight and resource support behind the international bodies, EDAN, and Ambassador Betty Bigombe working on the ground.
We hope they all come home safe and that all the other 20 are successfully repatriated, and supported, these are very ambitious people who went out to achieve big dreams and they need to be helped.

Today at 5:15 pm local time Myanmar authorities released Felix Adupe a Ugandan victim of human trafficking and handed him over to Edan a NGO that has been a contact point for treatment and safe custody. Together and other 20 detained Ugandans will be handed over to Ambassador Betty Bigombe next week in Yangon and transport arrangements to bring them back home will be arranged. We continue to negotiate for more Ugandans still missing in Myanmar. @UgandaMFA @Parliament_Ug

๐จWHAT?! A study discovered fluorescent CARBON NANODOTS inside Coca-Cola and Pepsi that cross the BLOODโBRAIN BARRIER.
The findings emerged after the Gates Foundation began investing in both PepsiCo and the world's LARGEST Coca-Cola bottler โ a stake now valued at $660 MILLION
The nanoparticles are about 5 nanometers wide, composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, with GRAPHITIC structural features.
When administered to mice, the carbon nanodots invaded multiple organs, including the brain, heart, liver, kidneys, and lungs.
Similar carbon nanodots are being engineered for medical imaging, drug delivery, and cancer therapy.
One possible explanation is that they formed during high-temperature processing of sugars and caramel coloring.
Alternatively, carbon dots can be deliberately manufactured through chemical synthesis, using controlled heating, carbon precursors, and surface modifications to produce nanoparticles with specific properties.
The researchers could NOT establish the particles' exact origin.

At Alere S. S. in Adjumani, as part of the Health club, there are boys that are doing a great job promoting menstrual knowledge and awareness against harmful cultural practices such as child marriage. I promised the boys that, to show my appreciation for their work, I will draw them and credit them publicly (make them famous) - to inspire more to such constructive work. The first I am sharing is Solomon Kuch. Share until it reaches him in the refugee camp in Adjumani.
